چکیده

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), a deadly cancer characterized by multiple molecular alterations, remains the most lethal cancer, with 5-year survival rate of about 3–15%. Early diagnosis and treatment monitoring are essential to improve patient survival. Traditional imaging methods can only provide structural information, but not biological processes. Nuclear medicine combines high sensitivity radionuclides high-resolution visualize specific targets PDAC for more accurate reliable therapeutic responses. In this review, we summarize available literature regarding nuclear in PDAC. We classify probe into two categories, targeting tumor cell membranous microenvironment, respectively. latest evidence field outline how these emerging strategies could potentially optimize clinical practice.

Molecular Characteristics of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

Pancreatic cancer is an almost universally lethal disease and despite extensive research over the last decades, this has not changed significantly. Nevertheless, much progress has been made in understanding the pathogenesis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) suggesting that different therapeutic strategies based on these new insights are forthcoming. Increasing focus exists on designing...

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma staging

In addition to clinical history and evaluations, the results of laboratory tests and imaging studies help clinicians in determining treatment strategies. Imaging plays a central role in the management of oncology patients including the initial diagnosis, staging, and follow-up to assess treatment response. Historically, radiologists have relied on free-style dictations to convey the results of ...

Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the most common malignancy of the pancreas. PDAC is an aggressive and difficult malignancy to treat. Complete surgical removal of the tumor remains the only chance for cure, however 80-90% of patients have disease that is surgically incurable at the time of clinical presentation (15). Despite our advancing knowledge of the tumor biology of PDAC, improv...

Metabolic imaging of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma detects altered choline metabolism.

PURPOSE Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is an aggressive and lethal disease that develops relatively symptom-free and is therefore advanced at the time of diagnosis. The absence of early symptoms and effective treatments has created a critical need for identifying and developing new noninvasive biomarkers and therapeutic targets. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN We investigated the metabolism of a...
